Donation to Paidopoli Structure of Alimos
A&G Powering Construction’s corporate strategy actively supports actions with social impact.
Recognizing the work of the "Agios Andreas" Paidopoli Structure of the municipality of Alimos, A&G contributed to the renovation of the building that is home to so many children. Ιn 2021, at the initiative of A&G, specific spaces in the structure were completely reconstructed and renovated.
In order to expand hosting capacity, two new bedrooms were built on the ground floor. For the same needs, the doctor's offic, and examination room on the first floor were converted into two new bedrooms. Kitchen and food storage areas, on the ground floor and first floor, were also completely renovated so that they could provide better feeding and living conditions for the children housed in the structure. It is worth mentioning, that the one storage space on the ground floor was converted into a bathroom, while the bathroom on the first floor was also restored.
The budget was €30,000.
“Paidopoli” operates as a Social Care Unit for children 4-12 years old and hosts 32 children. It is active in the field of Child Protection and its work includes hospitality, education, entertainment, etc. of minors aged 4-12, proven to be unprotected and lack family care.
The purpose of “Paidopoli” also includes the preparation of Hosted Minors for their smooth integration into society, either by returning them to their natural environment or by placing them in a foster family and then, if circumstances dictate, by their adoption.
Donation for common meals
Social solidarity is an integral part of A&G's strategic core.
Common meals are a great help to people in need. The food and dishes that are shared, whether at home or at special locations, feed thousands of people every day. It is no coincidence, after all, that they are often referred to as the "Table of Love".
To support such efforts, A&G offered, in 2021, €7,200 to the churches of Agios Panteleimon Trahonos Alimos and Agios Nikolaos Alimos. In the same spirit of solidarity and support, an equal amount was given to the aforementioned churches in 2022, as well.
Donation to E.N.O.A.
Social contribution is at the core of A&G's ideology.
Taking that into consideration, in 2022, A&G donated €2,000 to the E.N.O.A. sports group, for the coastal rowing race held on 05 & 06.11.2022.
